About 150 sky lanterns are fly at the same time on Chinese Lantern Festival day. Our lantern is one of them.

Isaiah holding the sky lantern that we prepare to fly. We put some prayers on the lantern and hope it to carry it to the sky and wish the prayers come true! The spots are from the oil papers at the bottom of the lantern. Once you light up the oil paper, it create hot air that will make the lantern fly like a hot air balloon. Interesting?! Want to try it? It only cost about $100 to $800 NTD to buy one. The bigger one is more expensive than the small one. For the size on the picture is cost $100NTD. You also can choice different color you like. Different color for different wish and prayer.

Chinese Lantern Festival in Ping Si.


People in Taiwan use like to take train to go to Ping Si. Since our house is not too far from it, we took bus instead plus during Chinese Lantern Festival government arrange special buses to go there directly. The train still one of the favorite transportation for visitors even though it's very slow.
